Temperature field monitoring of lithium battery pack based on double-clad fiber Bragg grating sensor

Lithium-ion battery is one of the most versatile energy storage technologies today, and reliability safety lithium have always been target pursued by industry all time, so it particularly important to accurately monitor status battery. Actually, ultimate cause problems lies in thermal runaway inside In order overcome current temperature measurement systems, such as low accuracy insufficient stability for long-time operation at relatively high temperature, a monitoring system quasi-distributed based on double clad Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) proposed this work. After field bulge deformation 18650 pack building 4 channels 16 FBG points pack, results show that with abnormal rise caused short circuit other can be determined under 0–450 ℃, corresponding sensitivity 10 pm/℃, resolution 0.1 ℃. The attached surface shell also shell, its longitudinal pressure modification up 142 pm/N. paper not only ensure high-precision measurement, but good anti-interference ability, which shows research work expected provide reliable theoretical experimental basis use pack.
